The age old problem of motorhoming is getting internet access "on the move". Wouldn't it be good to park up on a beach in France / Spain etc and be able to sit outside in the sun with your laptop and email / chat using msn messenger / skype or similar with friends and family back home. You can even use Skype or similar Voice Over IP (VoIP) programs to have free phone calls to friends / family

Now you can with the new Alden Sat-Net. Satellite Internet for Caravan is now in its second incarnation.

The Alden Sat-Net satellite internet system is the new kid on the block and is rewriting the rule book on mobile internet access. Previously the only real option for serious internet usage was either BGAN or Datastorm and the now phased out Alden Netmaster. The former charges per megabyte and can get expensive for intensive use, the Datastorm is a very expensive (>£6000) satellite internet system which then charges you a fixed rate per month dependent upon speed of access required and the superceded previous model of Alden Netmaster is still available.

Internet access in a motorhome or caravan is possible very quickly and easily with the new Alden Sat-Net.

The new Alden Sat-Net Automatic System has been purpose built ground up for use as a dual use internet and TV receiving system. The Alden Sat-Net system features the latest hardware to provide superb performance throughout Europe.

Download speeds of up to 2048 Kb/s enable the use of VOIP phones and, with additional hardware, it’s even possible to watch TV via the Internet and now with the ever growing online presence of streaming video from sites like YouTube you can catch up with the rest of the world.

You simply purchase the access subscription you require as and when you require it. Alden systems come pre configured for use on the IP Copter network. The Alden Sat-Net comes with an included 5 day internet use package. Once this package is complete you simply go to the IpCopter website and purchase any of the packages below online (Obviously you do this before your current package expires !)

Teleco Internet Caravan Satellite TV

Teleco Magic Sat Internet 85 is offering your the possibility to use broadband internet in your caravan or motorhome. Utilising services offered by AstraConnect via ASTRA 23.5° East you can access a wide band bi-directional connection to surf the net, send & receive emails and VOIP.

Included in the kit is a modem to allow your computer to connect to the internet. By connecting a wireless router (not supplied) you can be free to use the internet in the awning, on the grass outside or even on the beach close to the caravan (depending upon router specification).

The interactive LNB (iLNB) is used for receiving and transmitting internet data while a standard LNB offers satellite TV reception from the same pre-programmed satellites as the Flat Sat Easy.

WATCH TV AND HAVE THE INTERNET AT THE SAME TIME.
Teleco have cleverly fitted the standard LNB using an offset bracket next to the iLNB, so it is possible to receive a satellite feed from ASTRA 28.2° East whilst also connected to the internet via ASTRA 23.5° East.

To obtain a satellite TV signal from any other satellites (eg: Astra 1, Atlantic Bird) it is necessary to end the internet connection and then choose the required satellite via the simple, easy to use control panel.

The standard LNB can be connected to satellite receiver (not included). Particularly suitable for connection with SKY receivers. All operations are performed on a simple wall panel via only 3 buttons:

1. SAT - Selects the satellite and starts the satellite search.
2. Retract dish.
3. ON/OFF

The wall mounted control panel is connected to the control unit via a 3m long flat cable supplied. The main features of the control unit are shown below:

Teleco satellite systems achieve average search time of 60 seconds and will automatically retract when vehicle is started.

With the Oyster Internet, ten Haaft GmbH have integrated Internet and TV reception into one single system. At the push of a button, the intelligent system begins searching for the desired satellite. Crystop Autosat Internet 85 Caravan Satellite TV System

Need internet access in a vehicle with similar functionality to what they’d expect at home or at work, the AutoSat 2Si offers just that. This system gives reliable web access in almost every part of Europe and beyond.

Based on Crystop's AutoSat 2 satellite TV system, Autosat 2Si is simple to operate and can also be used to receive TV signals, although not at the same time. Additional hardware consists of a special 2-way LNB outside and a specially designed modem on the inside of the vehicle.
