Glomex are a leading
brand in Marine antennae. They have been supplying the marine
market with aerials for approximately 25 years and satellite systems
for over 10 years, and have recently turned their attention to
the leisure market.
The Glomex Discovery & Explorer satellite system is made in
Italy and have a 2 year warranty.
The Discovery dish is a stationary automatic satellite dish. (Vehicle
must be stopped and parked up before working).
The Explorer dish is an in-motion automatic satellite dish. (Works
whilst the vehicle is moving).
The dish is preset to work with Astra 2, Astra 1 and Hotbird satellites.
By turning the knob to whichever of the satellites you want and
by pressing go…within a minute you will have your TV working!

With
all the advantages of a dome automatic satellite TV system. This
makes it ideal for caravanners, motorcaravanners and boaters who
just want to switch on their satellite TV system, sit back and relax.
With VDO's 2 models available Static (Can be used only when vehicle
is stationary) or In-Motion (System can be used whilst vehicle is
in motion or stationary)
The system
runs on 12 and 24 volts and uses less than 2 Amps when searching
and none at all when the satellite has been located.
It can pick
up TV & radio from SKY & other broadcasters all over Europe
(as with any satellite TV system, what you receive will depend on
where you are and what type of receiver you use) thanks to its ability
to find 7 different satellites. A SKY digibox or any other satellite
receiver can be connected to the system. We recommend this model
when height is an important factor.

Camos Sat-dome
The MK4 (GPS Auto skew) Sat-dome has the additional features of
both GPS positioning & Auto-Skew.
GPS Positioning enables your satellite system
to know exactly where it is at any time. It helps your dish to
lock on to a satellite signal quicker than non GPS systems.
This is because the broadcasting satellites are in a geo-stationary
orbit (they spin at the same speed as the Earth) and as such are
considered to be in a fixed place. If your dish knows where it
is, it also knows where the satellite is, cutting out needless
search time.
Skew refers to the rotation of the LNB (Low
Noise Block) to compensate for the curvature of the Earth. A few
degrees of Skew can make all the difference between a good signal
or no signal at all in fringe areas or bad weather.
The procedure of skewing can be tricky in manual operation and
often means a trip onto the roof, with Auto-Skew the hard work
is done for you so quickly it’s unlikely you’ll even
know its occurred

The
dome control electronics have been combined with the free to air
satellite receiver box to minimise electronics and maximise performance
and reliability of the system. This means all you have to do it
is park up, switch on and enjoy. The receiver is pre-set to the
correct satellite for UK channels (other satellites an be easily
selected). The most popular UK TV channels are pre set at the top
of the channel listing. The receiver comes complete with a remote
eye allowing the unit to be conveniently hidden out of site, whilst
still being operated by the remote control.
The Dome design ensures that you can use the system with its built-in
free to air receiver, or combine it with either a freesat HD 12/230
volt receiver with digital HD programs and digital radio, or a Sky
